Dr. Marmorstein

Barry Marmorstein, M.D. specializes in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases. His undergraduate degree as well as his medical degree were completed at the University of Illinois in Chicago. After a mixed internship at Michael Reese Hospital (also located in Chicago), he completed his residency at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

Dr. Marmorstein served 2 years in the armed forces and then continued his medical education by obtaining a fellowship in Critical Care and Pulmonary Disease at the University of Colorado in Denver. Dr. Marmorstein is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases.

Twenty-eight years ago, Dr. Marmorstein moved to the Bellevue area and started his own private practice. His practice has shifted over the years but now is divided about evenly between internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. He is on active status at Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue. He currently is also the Medical Director for the Fountains at Pacific Regent which is a skilled nursing facility.

He was Director of Respiratory Care for several years at Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, as well as the Medical Director of Laurelwood Manor, a skilled nursing facility for a number of years. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine and attends their grand rounds.

Dr. Marmorstein is passionate about the practice of medicine and to him the patient will always remain the focus. Married with two children, his interests are running and backpacking.
